Tina served in the U.S. Air Force and made history as the first woman to wear the Air Force Security Forces combat beret in 1975.
Following her military service, Tina became a nationally recognized real estate advisor, specializing in military affordable housing solutions. She was appointed chief of military housing at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colo., and collaborated with federal and Colorado legislators to protect veteran families from predatory lending and real estate practices. As a result of her work, she earned the White House Small Business of the Year Award and the National Real Estate Educator of the Year Award.
To further her expertise in issues affecting the veteran community, Tina studied law at the University of Denver Strum College of Law, interning for the Colorado Attorney General and earning a juris doctor and master of laws.
Today, Tina is the CEO of Veteran Advocate Support Team Solutions, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business dedicated to advocating for and educating veterans, legislators, and the broader community about the advantages of owning, partnering with, and supporting veteran-owned businesses.
Tina also serves as the executive director of United Heroes of America, a nonprofit organization that provides education and support to first responders and their families.
In addition to serving on the Mountain States Chapter board of directors, Tina represents the chapter on the Executive Legislative Committee of the United Veterans Coalition.
In 2025, Tina was honored with a Quilt of Valor, recognizing her outstanding commitment to the veteran community.
