PVA is the preeminent VSO serving our brothers and sisters with MS and our first National President for PVA had MS in 1946 when PVA was formed. The current President and Vice President of the Mountain States Chapter both have MS as do approximately 40% of our members. This year we took a huge step in passing a resolution providing PVA membership eligibility to all honorably discharged Veterans with MS (not just those with MS lesions on their spines). This resolution passed with unanimous support of all our National Directors who see the need to help out our brothers and sisters with this terrible disease.

Our goal is to get our members with MS active, engaged and educated.
- Get Active: The central tenant of PVA is to get people active and this is true of those Veterans with MS. We’ll help coordinate and provide a voice to provide opportunities to those with MS who face different and specific issues when it comes to recreational activities.
- Get Engaged: In conjunction with other organizations and PVA’s efforts on legislative efforts to support all those with disabilities, we need you to lend your voice to some of the key issues impacting us all.
- Get Educated: We want to provide the latest information to our MS members on new and existing treatments, hold seminars and workshops to improve our ability to adopt to our new reality and provide information and assistance to our caregivers.
