Izzy Abbass, an Army Desert Storm veteran, has spent three decades working in telecommunications, focusing on digital strategy and project implementation in both the U.S. and abroad.

He is the founder and CEO of Eleven Bravo Telecommunications, which provides technical reviews for applicants to the U.S. Department of Agriculture ReConnect Program to expand broadband services in rural America.

Prior to leading his company, Izzy launched eight television channels in Central Europe, Australia and Asia before transitioning into the wireless sector where he was the North American managing director for Unity Mobile, an early provider of video services to mobile devices.

Over the years, he has been deeply engaged in efforts to help veterans pursue higher education and employment. For five years, he served as commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1, the oldest VFW post in the nation.

In 2011, he created the concept and was responsible for launching the text helpline for the VA Crisis Center to reduce suicides, earning him the 2012 Colorado Veteran of the Year award from the United Veterans Committee of Colorado.

In addition to being a member of the board of directors for the PVA Mountain States Chapter, Izzy is a national director, representing the chapter on PVA’s national board, and he co-chairs PVA’s Multiple Sclerosis Committee.
