Greg Rodgers brings more than three decades of experience and advocacy to the Mountain States Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

New Mexico Representative
A PVA member for 34 years, Greg was actively involved with the Zia Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America in New Mexico and served on its board of directors in the early 2000s. He remains committed to advancing quality of life for people living with spinal cord injury or disease (SCI/D).
Born and raised in Albuquerque, Greg served in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 3rd Cavalry Regiment from 1972 to 1974, during the final years of the Vietnam War. A training accident during his service resulted in a T8 spinal cord injury and Brown-Séquard syndrome, leaving him an incomplete paraplegic.
Greg holds degrees in business and university studies, with additional graduate coursework in family studies. Professionally, he owned a turquoise jewelry business during the 1970s turquoise boom and later spent 16 years in the cable and broadcast television industry, where he became a top sales executive, produced television programs, and earned certification from the National Cable Television Institute.
Throughout his life, Greg has remained deeply engaged in service and accessibility advocacy. He volunteered for seven years at the Albuquerque VA SCI inpatient unit, organizing monthly bingo events, and worked with city leaders and architects to ensure accessibility improvements in public facilities. He continues to advocate for practical solutions that improve everyday access and independence for wheelchair users.
