Education Grants

The Mountain States Chapter’s Education Grant Program supports learning and professional development for health care providers and dependents of full Chapter members.

Who is eligible?

  • Health care providers, including medical staff at VA hospitals, seeking education related to spinal cord injury and disorder research and patient care.
  • Dependents of full Chapter members, including children, pursuing education in any field of study. Dependents are eligible to apply once the Chapter member has been a member in good standing for at least one year. 

Requests do not imply eligibility or guarantee funding. Membership is not required. Before submitting an application, please review processes, funding policies, and recipient responsibilities related to Education Grants.

Up to $500 may be considered. Requests are reviewed case-by-case.
Up to $1000 may be considered. Requests are reviewed case-by-case.

Grants are discretionary, reviewed by the MSCPVA Board of Directors, and are dependent on available funding.
Funding & Reimbursement
  • Preference is given to applicants who submit receipts and/or a detailed breakdown of program fees in the Supporting Documentation section.
  • If funds are needed in advance of the educational pursuit, please explain the reason why in the Grant Details section of the application. Grant awards are subject to budget availability.
Grant Review Process
  1. Grant applications are reviewed monthly.
  2. Applicants will be notified of decisions by mail.
  3. All grant awards are made at the sole discretion of the Chapter’s Board of Directors.
Recipient Responsibilities

Recipients are encouraged to submit a brief follow-up report with photos upon completing the educational activity. These may be shared in the Chapter’s newsletter or on the Chapter’s website to highlight the impact of the program.

Grant recipients are required to repay grant funds if they do not attend the approved course, seminar or educational activity.
