Peer Support

Connection ensures no veteran faces life with paralysis alone.

Living with a spinal cord injury or disease can be isolating, particularly during times of transition. The Mountain States Chapter fosters meaningful connections through peer mentoring, community gatherings, and chapter events that bring veterans and families together.

Our peer mentors are veterans with lived experience who provide understanding, perspective, and encouragement. Peer support is voluntary, confidential, and relationship-based, grounded in shared experience rather than clinical treatment.

In addition to peer mentoring, our chapter hosts social events, educational meetings, and recreational activities that strengthen long-term community bonds. These relationships reduce isolation, build trust, and reinforce the message that every veteran is part of a strong and supportive network.

The Newsletter highlights peer stories, upcoming gatherings, and opportunities to connect.
